With The Artful Stitcher your young artist will learn about famous artists, practice art technique and explore different media.

Independance and creativity abound in classes designed for young artists.

Children will explore and create with varied media with an instructor that encourages self expression and artistic development.

Classes are based on art concepts and always include literature. As your young artist grows they will learn to explore basic concepts while incorporating more advanced methods and materials and will challenge their intellectual, perceptual and physical skills as well as learning many new ones.

We paint, draw, sculpt, play, work, think and create. The children develop work habits and organizational skills. Students also learn  to appreciate others, themselves and their world.

       We are offering classes
       in your home or mine.....

    * Learn perspective, line, form, drawing styles, painting styles.

    * all classes are structured to fit your needs, and are age appropriate.  

    Some of the Featured artists:

    *Claude Monet- watercolor w/ pastel

    *Paul Cezanne - 3-d composition

    *Henry Moore - Clay Sculpture

    *Paul Gauguin - Abstract collage

    *Pierre Auguste Renoir-

      Painting with light & color    

    *Vincent Van Gogh -

      Sunflowers in acrylic paint

     

    - Ages 4 and up / Always age

                             appropriate

    - class size: minimum 2 - 3

    - 6 week session - 6 / 1.5 hr classes

    If you can't make a commitment to 6 weeks give me a call and we can talk about other options that are available, such as biweekly or 3 times a month classes.

    - 1 featured artist per week

    -  6 week session is $65.00

       (that's only $10.83  per class, best value)

    - Individual class fee is $12.00 per child per class.

The artful stitcher Art Classes are available in 6 or 8 week sessions.

Each session includes a different artist each week, with age approriate activities.

All sessions will cover:

painting, sculpting, drawing, collage, mixed media, mask or puppetmaking.
